Help victims and SAFE this holiday season

SAFE has a tremendous success record of assisting over 2,400 survivors of domestic violence become financially self-sufficient from abuse in the Metropolitan Detroit, Michigan area since 2006. SAFE combines critical Safety planning strategies with Job Seeking, Resume Creation, Interviewing Skills, Customer Service, Personal Finances, Networking and micro-entrepreneurship. SAFE’s programs create customized plans to help survivors of domestic violence move towards safety and economic self-sufficiency.
Additionally, SAFE host two community awareness annual events which focus on strategies to overcome the economic abuse component of domestic violence while equipping community members with vital tools and resources to reduce domestic violence. SAFE’s O.P.E.N. for Business Conference provides training in micro-entrepreneurship to become financially independent from abuse. Of our participants, 25% successfully launched businesses that are open today, 40% are still in the planning phase and 35% are working and receiving continued assistance from SAFE. Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment also hosts its annual SAFE’s Health & Wealth Expo. The highlights of this event include free health screenings, workshops, information & lunch. SAFE is raising funds to expand our programs, support our annual community awareness events and meet the growing needs for survivors in our community. Without the services of SAFE many victims of domestic violence and their children are at risk for further abuse, homelessness and poverty.SAFE is committed to continue to service our community and survivors of domestic violence.
