Carrie was born in Utica and raised in Camden, NY. She now resides in Saratoga Springs and works as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. Carrie has been running for two years and is very passionate about wellness and physical health. This will be her second Boiler Maker and she is beyond excited and honored to combine both her passion for helping Veterans and running in the same event!! Carrie will run this race and raise funds for Sitrin’s military services honoring her favorite veterans including her grandfather Fredrick Gotham , her grandfather Donald Black and her father in-law Bruce Pallas.
This opportunity is not only allowing Carrie to run the Boiler Maker after getting locked out, but allowing her to run with a purpose and raise awareness for an amazing cause. Carrie intends on making entry into the Boiler Maker through this community organization an annual effort!
All funds raised will support Sitrin’s Military Rehabilitation Program, which provides specialized services to help our nation's heroes recover from post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and other combat-related conditions.
Funds will also benefit Sitrin’s STARS Program for people with physical disabilities who wish to engage in recreational or competitive sports.
As a Paralympic Sport Club, Sitrin offers:
