BENEFITING: SANTA FE ANIMAL SHELTER
Join us to improve the only dedicated small dog park in Santa Fe located at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter on Caja del Rio Road!
If you have ever visited the small dog park at the Santa Fe Shelter, you will notice it is pretty bare. Some volunteers and staff have been working to improve it and have created a new separate entrance for our beloved little creatures, brought in water, a poop bag dispenser and some fence barriers...but we need to do more.
Most experts agree that it is smart to separate dogs by size for their safety and the safety of their owners. We want to make the small dog park safe so that owners, especially seniors, bring their little canines to a fun, welcoming place where they and you can enjoy the beautiful Santa Fe weather and chat with other owners. We want our beloved Chihuahuas, Toy Poodles, Dachshunds, Shih Tzus, Jack Russels, Yorkies and any little rescue in Santa Fe to come to a place where they can romp around while their owners sit comfortably in the shade.
We have plans to add another shade structure, play structures, more comfortable, durable benches and more fence barriers to prevent squabbling along fence lines. We are looking to raise $10,500 to complete this project and we need your help to make this a reality. Any contribution, big or small will help. A big thank you "woof" will be coming your way for your generosity.
