WE DID IT!
May 03, 2017
At CLASS in Lawrence, Mass., adults with disabilities participate in daily activities that strengthen their socialization and daily living skills. Learning will vastly improve with the aid of a SMARTboard in CLASS continuing education, as it addresses the different learning styles of the people the agency supports – studies have shown it will be as beneficial as a 1:1 learning environment. Many individuals with learning or verbal deficits need visual stimulation integrated with their learning. And that's just what a SMARTboard does: offset verbal deficiencies and address different learning style by introducing a visual element into their learning. State funding does not provide support for SMARTboard purchases; CLASS relies on fundraising to enhance all our programs that lead to learning. We are University of Massachusetts, Lowell, students, trying to help them by running this crowdrise project. Every donation made will be matched by a community partner helping us to reach our goal! Thank you for your support!
