My dad passed away of lung cancer in July of this year. He was diagnosed in January of 2012 and he succumbed to his illness in a short 7 months despite chemotherapy and participating in a clinical trial at a top research facility. In his honor, I would like to raise $2,500 this year. I was recently sent wristbands for lung cancer awareness by the foundation and am selling them to raise money and awareness for lung cancer. I will be selling these bands for $1 a piece but would truly appreciate a donation of $5 or more. It would mean a lot to me if you could help spread awareness and raise money for research. My dad was 52 years old, never smoked a day and worked out tremendously. Lung cancer can happen to anyone. It is the number one killer. 80% of newly diagnosed patients are non-smokers, 19 people are diagnosed every hour and another 19 die from lung cancer every hour. Please help me in my fight to find a cure. My dad will never be able to walk his daughters down the aisle, travel the world with his wife in old age, and see his younger daughter move to college. Please help me in my fight to finding a cure and making sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. My family and I truly appreciate your support.
