What is MS?
In the simplest terms possible, Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that makes it difficult for the brain to relay messages to the rest of the body. The immune system attacks myelin and disrupts the signals that the brain and spinal cord are sending to the nerves, affecting movement. There are 4 different types of MS and varying levels of severity, but one thing remains consistent-
There is still no cure.

Why it's important to us
MS affects almost 2.3 million people worldwide. My sister (Matt's sister), one of the most amazing people you would ever hope to know, happens to be one of those 2.3 million. Seeing the disease progress is heartbreaking, but her fight and positive spirit are more inspirational than she could ever comprehend.
My sister and our family are only 1/2,300,000. That is it. Take the rest of the 2.3 million people, and add each person's family & friends, and you have an unfathomable amount of people affected by this horrible disease. Multiple Sclerosis needs to be stopped, and it's up to us to help stop it.
The race is over, but please feel free to continue to donate to this meaningful cause
