THE STORY:

The tragedy that struck Newtown, CT on December 14,2012 has been weighing on me, as it has been for millions of Americans. Now there is something we can do to show our support for the community and help brighten the new year for the children of Sandy Hook.

When the students of Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT begin the new year in their new school in 2013, the community wants to welcome them with a winter wonderland filled with creatively decorated and home made paper snowflakes. Even though you yourself may not be a child anymore, surely you remember the joys of folding and cutting pieces of paper which magically transformed into a one of a kind snowflake. Let's help spread that joy to the students and teachers of Sandy Hook.

For every dollar raised, one unique snowflake will be sent to Sandy Hook.

Additionally, all of the money raised will be donated to the Connecticut PTA to enhance the lives of every child through school and community programs and enrichment.

If you would like to submit your own snowflake, they can be mailed to: Connecticut PTSA, 60 Connolly Parkway, Building 12, Suite 103, Hamden, CT 06514.
