BENEFITING: BIOSPHERE EXPEDITIONS
Listed as “Endangered” on the IUCN Red List, the snow leopard, like many species, is threatened by poaching, retaliatory killings and habitat loss. It is estimated that fewer than 7,500 snow leopards remain in the wild.
In the Tien Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan, we and our project partner NABU are doing their best in snow leopard conservation and research. But without knowing how many snow leopards still roam these remote and vast mountains, they are grappling in the dark.
Help them with their work by financing 30 camera traps, which are an essential tool in assessing snow leopard numbers and whereabouts. Each trap is about $ 500 | € 370 | £ 310, so the total we need to raise is $ 15,000 | € 11,100 | £ 9,300.
Help us to raise this money and give snow leopards a chance to thrive through research and conservation!
