Sock it to the homeless
Organized by: Dana Aguilar
I have lived in San Diego for 50 years and had personal contact throughout the years with the homeless. I would see them holding signs asking for help. The signs say various things but most of them want one thing MONEY. Then they go about finding their drug of choice, I would like to give them something but not support their habit. My mother who is a long distance truck driver said "Rich or poor a brand new pair of socks feels good to everyone." That gave me the idea to start handing out socks instead of money. I have had some success over the years got discouraged and quit for a while ran out of money for new socks but now I am back at it. I feel it is my purpose to expand this not only in San Diego county but to branch out to any victim or survivor of any situation around the world. Help me to realize my dream by helping me finance this project.
