URGENT – COLD WEATHER IS SETTING IN AT SACRED STONE CAMP, STANDING ROCK SIOUX TRIBE, NORTH DAKOTA. HELP CONSTRUCT TWO SOLAR POWER HOT WATER SHOWER SITES IN 10 DAYS! Please help meet the urgent need for the construction of two hot water shower sites at Sacred Stone Camp for the Water Protectors fighting to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. This is a historic Indigenous-led gathering of over 280 tribes that has been camping out since earlier this year, and they are in it for the long haul. Cold weather is setting in, and plans for building two solar hot water shower sites are currently being designed. They need at a minimum $3K to construct these shower sites in the next 10 days. Indigenous Environmental Network and Grassroots Global Justice Alliance are working together to round up volunteers, transport equipment and raise the funds to make this possible. Any proceeds raised above the costs of the showers will go to support Indigenous Environmental Network for their political coordination and communications at the camp.
If you are sending $500 or more, please send an email to Pam Tau Lee letting her know how much you will donate, and then write a check to "Grassroots Global Justice" with "NODAPL showers" in the memo and mail it to:
