Hello family and friends!
We are excited to say that this year we will be participating in the Atlanta Tough Mudder in hopes to raise some funds for a fantastic charity, Soldiers who Salsa...
What is Soldiers Who Salsa?
Soldiers Who Salsa is an official non-profit charity dedicated towards enhancing the lives of active and retired members of the U.S Armed Forces through a unique program incorporating therapeutic and social dancing with a variety of music and professional instruction. Soldiers Who Salsa serves wounded, ill, and injured military service members. The programs have had wonderful benefits for patients with prosthetic limbs, traumatic brain injuries, and post-traumatic stress disorders. All dance classes are offered at no cost to all military personnel and their families. For more information on Soliders Who Salsa, please visit their website at: soldierswhosalsa.org, and follow them on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter! Soldiers Who Salsa's Federal Tax ID is: 27-4091893.
What is a Tough Mudder?
Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10-12 mile obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. It focuses on camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a race but a team challenge. For more information on Tough Mudder, visit their website: toughmudder.com.
Who is on the team, why did they choose the Tough Mudder, and why do they want to run for Soldiers Who Salsa?
This year's team (Team Always With Honor) is made up of a close knit group of active duty and reserve military families currently stationed at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL. Participating in a Tough Mudder was a "no brainer" as it embodied ideals of teamwork while under intense situations, which is a lifestyle component for military families. Since May is Military Appreciation Month, we would like to thank all of our fellow service members for their service by donating back to organizations that support military families in their day to day challenges. Soldiers Who Salsa is led by wonderful individuals who have personal military experience and make organizational decisions based on how to improve the lifestyle of military members who need it.
Thanks for checking out our fundraising page, and we hope that you'll consider donating to this wonderful organization.
