Fundraise for the Future of Learning
The SOLE India labs became possible due to the TED Prize awarded to Prof. Sugata Mitra in February 2013. It was a challenge to build the five, very different SOLE labs in India. They cover a range of areas, like the lab in Area One Korakati which is a very remote, poor and disadvantaged stand-alone community centre to the Area four Phaltan lab, a school catering to children from low to middle class SES. Of these five labs, three are in rural Bengal while the remaining two are in metropolitan and semi-urban areas. We’ve watched our students across all five labs develop necessary reading, writing and listening skills through SOLE sessions. They utilize the Granny Cloud to further refine their English and inspire us with their increased understanding every day. With your help, the SOLE India labs can continue to educate children who rely on self-organized learning.
