THE STORY:

Yahoo!  Sole Train ran the B.A.A. Half-Marathon yesterday, some finishing in just under two hours! Congratulations to every team member for completing the race safely and happily, and thank you to all who have supported the runners. And, it's not too late to show your support for the team!

I'm proud to be a Sole Train mentor - helping our remarkable youth train for and complete the BAA Half Marathon.  What's especially cool is that the youth often end up mentoring us.

Founded in 2009, Sole Train uses distance running as a metaphor for life's challenges. We inspire local youth to accomplish goals they never thought possible and to have fun, eat well and gain confidence doing it.

Training for -- and completing -- a half-marathon is difficult. For a high school student who has never run before, it is even more daunting.

Many thanks for reading and considering a donation to my favorite activity - any donation will help us fund this fabulous community of mentor and youth runners.

Warm regards,

Amy

Sole Train: Boston Runs Together, is a free, non-competitive running and mentoring program serving Boston youth ages 10-21.

The current Sole Train team is training for the B.A.A. Half Marathon on October 7. Each week, students and mentors alike, push themselves further, running longer distances than they ever thought themselves capable of.

Please consider donating today! Your contribution will help Sole Train grow -- we need funds for youth race registrations, mentor recruitment and training, running shoes and gear, and nutritious post-run food for all participating students.

Sole Train is a program of Trinity Boston Foundation. For more information, visit:  http://www.trinityinspires.org/sole-train-boston-runs-together/
