THE STORY:

On April 16th, 2016, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Ecuador. This was the most devastating natural disaster for them. The most effected areas is the province of Manabi, which includes Portoviejo, Manta, Bahia, Montanita, Perdenales, among many others. So far the death toll is over 500, with over 2,500 hurt. Rescue teams are still finding people, both dead and alive. We need to join together in an effort to help these people. Please consider donating, to help this effort. The money raised is going to go directly to a community organizer in Manabi, Ecuador, to work with what the needs are. The needs currently are water and food. Shelves are empty in supermarkets in these areas. Personally, I am so attached to this country because I lived there for two years of my life. I grew attached to both the country, and the people. Now I find the tugging in my heart to not go away, to do something to help. This is why I have created this. Please consider helping. ANY amount helps. In solidarity!! -April from Lincoln, Nebraska
