Soon to be homeless
Organized by: Larinda Thomas
I am asking for your prayers and help. Not for me, but for my sister Ginny and her four boys, ages 4-13. Almost 2 years ago, after much thought, I made the decision to put my ailing mother in home hospice care. Ginny, a health care aid, moved in with her along with her 4 boys to help take care of her. You see it was my mother's wish to die at home. With Ginny moving back, it made her wish possible. To this day, I am not sure how she did it. Working full time, raising 4 boys by herself and taking care of mom. It was Ginny who, after working all day would come home to 4 boys needing her as well as our mom. As soon as she hit the door, Ginny would be pulled in 5 different directions. Don't get me wrong, my other sister Kris and I helped as well, but it was Ginny that my mom wanted. As my mom told me more than once "Ginny knows how I like it done and you don't do it right" It didn't make a difference if it was heating up dinner, giving her medications or driving over at 3:00 am to help her in the bathroom so Ginny could get a solid 4 hours sleep. My Mom loved all her children, but we just couldn't do anything the way Ginny did. Our Mother passed away March 19th with all of us by her side. We watched her life slowly slip away. The last few days of her life, Ginny and my niece Erin (a nurse) made my mother as comfortable as possible. I don't think anyone slept for more than two hours. I think our mother knew how Ginny would be there for her all those years ago. You see my mother left Ginny her house. Being the executor of her Will, I have found out it will cost approx $2000.00 to file her Will in probate. The Will needs to be filed so the deed can be transferred to Ginny. Ginny then has to either try and assume the loan or refinance it. The house still has a mortgage on it of 65,000. As of today, the mortgage is 2 months behind. Ginny has paid as much as she can, but they have cut her hours at work down to two days a week. I really wish I had the money to file the Will and help pay the mortgage for her. Being a single mother, working 2 days a week has been difficult. I just think of all she did for our mother, and what she continues to do not only for her children, but those around her. It makes me proud to say she is my sister. I would love to make her life a little easier. That is why I am asking for your help. I would appreciate any prayers and /or donation you may give to this fund.
