From Ms. Stacey: "I'm quite confident that 99.9% of us in some way have been affected by cancer; a loved one, someone's friend, a co-worker, the list is endless. Four years ago, a dear family lost their 10-year-old son, Landon, to cancer! He told his dad before he died, "Dad just do something, so other kids don't have to go through this." A group of us made that our mission statement when L3 (Live Love Landon Foundation) was formed, #DoSomething! L3 has done many different events to raise money for cancer research, one of those being Dancer's Kickin' Cancer which we are coming up to our 3rd year anniversary. This year, we wanted to try something different and involve more people so we are hosting a Danceathon on Saturday, May 20th from 3:00-7:00 pm, at Kingwood High School. No dance experience necessary; just a willing spirit to participate and #DoSomething that will continue the ripple effect we are making here in Kingwood and surrounding areas. Last year, the L3 Foundation presented two cancer research doctors a check for $100,000! And... this year we are giving MD Anderson ANOTHER $100,000 check at our Danceathon!!! This is money our amazing community has raised in a few short years. We want this event to involve more people, and so we need YOU, your friends and family members to join us. "
