The challenge is over--we did not qualify for the $20,000 or any bonuses. However, we did receive an extra $500 donation in person a few weeks  See more

THE STORY:

We believe in the power of girls to effect change.

It is not enough to celebrate a "girl power" without also providing examples of strength. We can't tell girls they can change the world without equipping them with the skills to take on the task.  If we encourage young girls to dream big, we must provide direction and skills to help them make those dreams a reality. Girls hear that education and training will enable them to get good jobs, earn a viable income, care for their families, participate in their communities, and local economies, and change the world. But, we've found that although girls hear these messages, they don't feel like they have the power to overcome the obstacles they can so easily name.  Girls are being told over and over they can make a difference in their world. But they're also confronted sometimes with harsh realities in their families, communities, and countries challenging that ideal. If girls are going to succeed in their life and career goals, they must be provided with guidance, training and resources. That's why we've started a Dream It Be It: Career Support for girls pogram in Toms River dedicated to preparing girls for success.

What We Do

Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls provides the information and resources girls want and need to be successful. We mainly focus on girls in secondary school who face obstacles to their success.

Dream It, Be It is a curriculum-based program, that addresses topics such as exploring careers, creating achievable goals, rising above obstacles, turning failures into success, and creating action plans for realizing dreams.

Dream It Be It provides dedicated mentors who lead girls through simulation games, interactive activities, conversations about personal values and resilience, and activities to balance stress and identify action steps for long-term goals.

DIBI wants to provide as many girls as possible with access to professional role models, career education and the resources to live their dreams, so we need your help in providing girls with resources that can enhance the sessions and activities they need to become more successful.

If you believe like we do that girls with dreams become women with vision.

But they can't do it alone. We ask that you donate to this campaign so that you can help us, help girls become empowered women.
