THE STORY:

The Empty Bowls Project was created in 1990 by a high school art teacher, John Hartom, in Michigan to help his art students raise charitable funds. Hartom’s idea was for students to sell ceramic bowls, filled with soup in exchange for a suggested donation. The concept has since been used by artists worldwide to raise millions of dollars to fight hunger.

By raising assisting SOS community services in raising $500, you will be helping the organization buy food for up to 4 families for 1 month.

Please consider that while many of us have full bowls each day, three meals a day many folks in our country are not able to have just 1 full bowl a day.
