“I’m really doing this. I’m really doing this.” I keep reminding myself that I’ve accepted this challenge to train for a marathon during the brutal New England winter -- which, of course, became brutal the same week I agreed to run! I am running the 2013 Boston Marathon to support Wediko Children’s Services, where I am the Deputy Director.
I agreed to run more than 26 miles while balancing home, work, community commitments, and raising $10,000 because of what I’ve seen at Wediko. I’m doing this because the world is sometimes a sad and scary place for children and Wediko brings hope. Wediko provides a continuum of services, including a private residential school, summer program, family therapy, as well as school, home, and community-based supports for children with mental health challenges. This magical place, where transformative change happens, needs support and I’m stepping up, hoping you will join me in this effort.
Please help me raise $10,000 in three months. Please help Wediko restore hope to children and their families.
