Help South County Tailwaggers obtain 501(c)(3) Status!!!
Organized by: South County Tail Waggers
March 11, 2016
South County Tailwaggers was created in the fall of 2015 to rally a group of passionate dog lovers to help solve the stray dog population in South County. Our first order of business was to get the found/stray dogs out of the cold weather at the current kennels at Gilroy PD and Morgan Hill PD. South County Tailwaggers is becoming a strong and thriving group, and one day we will realize our ultimate goal to build a sanctuary for abandoned and stray animals in South County, where people and animals live and work in a symbiotic relationship for the greater good of our communities. However, in order to start down this exciting yet complicated road, we need to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization ASAP so that we can start to fundraise towards our ultimate goal!!! Since we are a very new organization, we do not have the funds for the filing fees and legal resources to achieve the 501(c)(3) status. If you can chip in $5 or $10 . . . even a $1 if you have it, we should get to this initial goal very soon! We have almost 200 South County Tailwaggers members and hopefully some of our non-member friends and family might be able to chip in a few bucks too. When our sanctuary is finally built, and we know that our animals in South County have a loving, warm and compassionate place to call home, everyone involved in this adventure will be able to feel a sense of pride and say to themselves, "I helped make THAT happen!!!" Thank you everyone for your time and consideration!! We will keep everyone updated on our SCTW Facebook page with our progress!!!
