I am college student graduating in May 2011 with B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. Three days after graduation I am (God-willing) flying from Phoenix, AZ with a team from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship to visit missionaries in Rustenberg, South Africa. In Rustenberg, there is a 65-year-old lady who single handily operates a feeding shelter on practically nothing. Quite literally, she takes what little money she has she buys and cooks food over an open fire to feed 50-60 children everyday. What is most amazing about this woman, is regardless if our team ever offered to help, she would still give what little she has to continue feeding these children on a daily basis. Last year, our team raised enough money to buy her a new propane stove and also transformed the village junk yard into a playground for the children, Anges encountered everyday. However, this year, we intend to give Anges a real home. As of right now, she lives out of a tin wood shack across from, what is now, the local playground. Our team has gathered the necessary funds for building supplies however personal expenses, mainly airfare, has become a rather large challenge. I am a full time student and I am hastily gathering all what little resources and funds I have to pay for my plane ticket. I created this profile to contact anyone who is in a position to give to our cause.
