The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) takes a three-pronged approach to fighting intolerance: 1) gathering qualitative and quantitive data on hate groups, 2) spearheading educational programs to teach kids (and adults!) the value of compassion and empathy, and 3) fighting (and often winning) groundbreaking cases to bring about systemic reform. And the SPLC makes a difference for EVERYONE: children, women, LGBT people, Muslims, African Americans, immigrants, and the economically disenfranchised. In short, the SPLC is doing its part to help our friends and loved ones. Let's do our part, too.
