The risk of famine in South Sudan is growing. 3.5 million people are facing starvation, and 50,000 children may die this year if aid isn't scaled up immediately.
CARE is on the ground providing first aid, food, shelter and other essentials for those displaced inside South Sudan and refugees in surrounding countries. We've already helped more than 180,000 people, but we want to do so much more.
CARE and six other major international aid organizations face a substantial shortfall as the risk of famine looms. But the good news is just a small gift can go so far. Every dollar counts, and will help us provide lifesaving support for the people who need it most, by:
-Providing more emergency food relief to prevent the needless deaths of 19,000 children every day due to starvation and disease.
-Improving access to safe water and sanitation for refugees and other families living in poverty.
-Providing shelter and health care in emergencies.
-And so much more!
Please give what you can today. So many people in South Sudan and around the world are relying on people like you in this difficult time.
