SPACE ON THE FARM INC wrote -
The first two seasons at SPACE on Ryder Farm have been incredible. Help build the third season (and beyond) by donating to SPACE this holiday season. This year's goal is to raise $15,000 by December 31st.
WHAT IS SPACE
Founded in 2009, SPACE is an artist's residency program housed on Ryder Farm, a working organic farm in Brewster, NY. SPACE's mission is to support artists by providing a workshop space singular in its ability to reinvigorate the artist's spirit and their work.
In just two seasons’ time SPACE has hosted over 200 artists, including:Adam Rapp (Red Light Winter, finalist for the Pulizer Prize for Drama in 2006); Young Jean Lee (The Shipment, 2 time Obie Award winner); director Davis McCallum (Bright New Boise); playwrights Molly Smith Metzler (Elemeno Pea), Bekah Brunstetter (Be a Good Little Widow, Oorah!), Mat Smart (Samuel J. and K.); actors Judith Light (Who’s the Boss?, 2012 Tony Award for Other Desert Cities), John Glover (Smallville, Tony Award for Love! Valour! Compassion!), and Santino Fontana (Brighton Beach Memoirs, Drama Desk Award); Off-Broadway theatre companies ARS NOVA, Naked Angels, and Old Vic New Voices (Artistic Director Kevin Spacey).
Our 2013 goals are:
PEOPLE: SPACE hopes to welcome 100 artists to the Farm in 2013. Your donations will support their fellowships and residencies
STRUCTURES: Support the continued renovation and upkeep of the 18th century structures that serve as the work/live space for the artists
PROGRAMMING: Help expand programs that more three-dimensionally serve artists, interns and community
To make the vision for SPACE a reality, your help is needed! Please consider giving SPACE a gift this holiday season.
Your generous support helps SPACE continue to create, improve, and sustain physical spaces and nurture the artistic endeavors of the larger creative community.
SPACE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, which means that all donations are tax deductible!
