The first two seasons at SPACE on Ryder Farm have been incredible due in large part to individual supporters, grants from arts organizations and caring friends, family and professional associates. Please join me for the launch of Season Three by donating to SPACE this holiday season. This year's goal is to raise $15,000 by December 31st.
WHAT IS SPACE
Founded in 2009, SPACE is an artist's residency program housed on Ryder Farm, a working organic farm in Brewster, NY. SPACE's mission is to support artists by providing a workshop space singular in its ability to reinvigorate the artist's spirit and their work.
In just two seasons’ time SPACE has hosted over 200 artists, including:Adam Rapp (Red Light Winter, finalist for the Pulizer Prize for Drama in 2006); Young Jean Lee (The Shipment, 2 time Obie Award winner); director Davis McCallum (Bright New Boise); playwrights Molly Smith Metzler (Elemeno Pea), Bekah Brunstetter (Be a Good Little Widow, Oorah!), Mat Smart (Samuel J. and K.); actors Judith Light (Who’s the Boss?, 2012 Tony Award for Other Desert Cities), John Glover (Smallville, Tony Award for Love! Valour! Compassion!), and Santino Fontana (Brighton Beach Memoirs, Drama Desk Award); Off-Broadway theatre companies ARS NOVA, Naked Angels, and Old Vic New Voices (Artistic Director Kevin Spacey).
SPACE goals for 2013:
PEOPLE: We hope to welcome 100 artists to the Farm in 2013. Your donations will support their fellowships and residencies;
STRUCTURES: Support the continued renovation and upkeep of the 18th century structures that serve as the work/live space for our artists; and
PROGRAMMING: Help us expand programs that more three-dimensionally serve our artists, interns and community.
To continue making SPACE's vision a reality, I am requesting your help! Please consider giving SPACE a gift this holiday season.
Your generous support helps to continue creating, improving and sustaining the physical structures on Ryder Farm and nurturing the artistic endeavors of SPACE's larger creative community. In addition, your gift provides financial aid to the next generation of artists who would otherwise not have the opportunity to create and sustain their art.
SPACE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, which means that all donations are tax deductible!
Thank you for your past support and your ongoing confidence in Emily's non-profit arts organization, SPACE on Ryder Farm. Learn more at www.spaceonryderfarm.com.
