Spark - Be the Change You Wish to See in the World
Organized by: Removed Removed
Spark NYC is non-profit organization which empowers people to connect their passion and talents in a meaningful way. Rooted in personal growth and development, our goal is to help build a society in which people are living to their highest potential and aligning their passion with purpose. Spark NYC serves adults will also serve children through our Spark Y mentorship program.
We believe that personal development is at the core of everyone’s success, however you define success and through our initiatives: Spark Sunday Brunch, Connect and Spark Y, we will be able to provide tools and resources that raise self-awareness and inspire confident decisions that lead to more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Spark Sunday Brunch
Sundays at 2pm, in Brooklyn NY, Spark Sunday Brunch provides delicious brunch bites, free of charge and a motivational speech with practical skills to empower and inspire positive change in the lives of it’s attendees. Areas of focus include passion & purpose, time management, career & transition, change of mindset, perception and love & relationships.
Our mid week exchange, Connect offers additional resources, materials and accountability for those looking to dig a little deeper into their personal growth. Connect is a more intimate gathering, held in a smaller workshop like setting.
With a dynamic approach to the empowerment of and growth of children, Spark Y mentorship program, for children of single parent households, will provide creative workshops and programs throughout the year. Our curriculum will combine mentorship, inspiring social experiences and life skills to ensure success and maturation into confident adults. Spark mentors will be matched with children from single parent households, based on the child’s interests. Children in single parent households are heavily affected by the absence of one parent. Our goal is to engage the child through personal development and create a partnership with the parent that helps the child see limitless opportunities, for his/her future.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Help us reach our goal of $50,000 so that we can continue to provide Spark Sunday Brunch and launch Connect and Spark Y mentorship program for children of single parent households. Money raised will go towards space rental/office space to run Spark Y and other Spark initiatives out of, trips for Spark Y mentees, web creation/maintenance and other materials and resources.
