BENEFITING: Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2013
Growing up in Boston, the Boston Marathon has always been a wonderful tradition that I've been grateful to be apart of for so many years. Whether cheering on friends or complete strangers, I am always inspired about the commitment the runners have towards finishing the race and for the various causes they run to support. They inspired me so much in fact that I ran my first marathon in November 2012. Running has been a significant part of my life ever since and I have loved living in the Boston running community.
The Boston Marathon bombing on April 15, 2013 left the world and the Boston community dumbfounded. In light of these horrific events, our community has come together to support those fallen and those recovering from severe injuries. As part of my training for the Chicago Marathon in October 2013, I am raising money for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, where a number of the Boston Marathon victims are receiving treatment for severe burns, amputations and other injuries. The Comprehensive Rehabilitation Fund will help the Boston Marathon victims receive treatment for their injuries as well as those with similar injuries in the future.
Please make a donation towards this tax-deductible fund to help those who are looking to get the long-term care that they need to get back on their feet! #BostonStrong
