BENEFITING: SECOND CHANCE DOG RESCUE
1.2 million dogs are euthanized in shelters every year. That's over EIGHTY dogs killed for every person in Murray, Ky. Second Chance Dog Rescue has decided to make a difference. They are starting a low cost spay and neuter program focusing on the mothers of "unwanted" or surprise litters of puppies. If we prevent puppies from being born, then we can reduce the animals going to shelter in the future, and therefore the animals killed at them. This is where we need YOUR help. Second Chance is a non-profit animal rescue and depends on the support of generous donators like you to continue running. They already take in stray and special needs animals from the shelters, but they are limited by the amount of fosters they can get to house their animals. By starting a spay and neuter program they can impact a much large amount of animals in the community. We have estimated our cost of this program to be about $100 per dog, so we are hoping to get $1000 to spay our first 10 dogs. Please donate and spread the word so we can begin to save more lives!
