Cameron Gallagher was a popular, thriving 16 year old Freeman H.S. student that most people did not know that she struggled with teenage depression. Cameron ran and completed her first half marathon (13.1 miles) almost two years ago at the Virginia Beach Shamrock 1/2 Marathon. Minutes after finishing the race, she dropped dead. Last year, many Richmonders ran this same race in Cameron's honor and as a fundraiser to promote awareness and help for teenage depression. Many programs have been set up in the Richmond, VA metro area to help this cause and the impact on the community has been significant. Many teenagers are no longer shy about speaking up and getting needed help and guidance. I will be running the Shamrock Half Marathon for the eighth consecutive year and this will be my 2nd year that I am running for the Cameron Gallagher Team to support her foundation to help fight teenage depression. Please consider a contribution to help run these teenage depression programs in the Richmond, VA area. Your help makes a significant difference to this worthy cause. Let's Finish this for Cameron!
