Spicers to the Amazon
Organized by: Ben Spicer
EVENT DATE Sep 30, 2016
Ben and Jessica Spicer: missionaries to tribes in the Amazon! Ben is a third generation missionary from the Philippines and Jessica is a second generation missionary from Brazil.
God has called us to join a small group of missionaries to help spread the gospel in the jungles of the Amazon. There are currently over 50 different unreached people groups (representing hundreds of villages) within a 300 Km (less than 200 miles) radius of the boarders of Brazil, Peru, and Columbia. Our teams mission is to spread the gospel to the villages and then train them to be their own church leaders and then to be missionaries to their neighboring villages! We also work with the new churches to help translate the Bible into their heart languages.
To help us reach the various tribes quicker, a generous partners has donated a speed boat to a church in the area. This speed boat will allow the missionaries to visit the different tribal churches more often which will lead to increased discipleship training! Almost all of the villages are only accessible by river, so having a fast and reliable boat is a huge blessing! However, we still need to ship the speed boat down to Brazil and into the heart of South America.
It will cost over $10,000 to ship the boat from the U.S. to Manaus (Brazil), and then up the Amazon river to Benjamin Constant (the town our team of missionaries is based out of). Please help us transport this speed boat down to Brazil to help reach the unreached and unengaged tribes of the Amazon jungle!

Thank you, and God bless!
