BENEFITING: Urban Initiatives
Spidermonkey Cycling is a cycling club based out of Chicago, Illinois. SpiderMonkey has over 100 members who participate in all forms of cycling. This year the SpiderMonkeys will be riding in a charity ride at Virtue Cider in Fenville, Michigan on Sunday, August 20th to support the work of Urban Initiatives.
Urban Initiatives is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that uses the power of sport to transform communities. Through engagement in Urban Initiatives' programs, students start as players, become young leaders in their communities, and are guided to success in high school and beyond. Urban Initiatives takes a collaborative, whole child approach to development and they work with parents, teachers, and community stakeholders to empower children to reach their full potential. Urban Initiatives creates a diverse and inclusive environment, one in which participants are invited to join a team, regardless of skill level, and engage with their peers through broad, citywide networks. Urban Initiatives serves 13,000 children in 51 schools across 38 Chicago neighborhoods.
Your donation will allow Urban Initiatives to sustain their work and make an even greater impact on kids in need. All donations are tax-deductible.
