BENEFITING: THE SUPER JAKE FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Jun 12, 2016
Project ASSIST of Lyons Township High School is teaming up with Spikeball to raise awareness and funds to benefit The Super Jake Foundation. The Super Jake Foundation mission is: • to fund research to find a cure for neuroblastoma, a rare and deadly form of pediatric cancer, and • to provide assistance to families with children with neuroblastoma. Project ASSIST is hosting a tournament style Spikeball event at Lyons Township High School’s West Field from 8 am-5 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Registration begins promptly at 8 am, followed by an opening ceremony, and then the amazing tournament! In case of inclement weather, the tournament will then be held at the North Campus Field House and periphery gymnasiums. There is an entrance fee for each team of $40. A team consists of at least 2 members but may be up to 4. The $40 entrance fee must be raised by the morning of June 12th and can be submitted in cash or via the CrowdRise link provided. The entrance fee gets you at least two games, an opportunity to win some really cool prizes, and helps some Super Heroes gain the strength they need to battle cancer. Besides the $40 entrance fee, Project ASSIST highly encourages you to raise additional monetary support from your community, family, and/or sponsors. Prizes will be awarded for most money raised by individual/team, Best Superhero Costume (judges will be walking around throughout play to determine), and overall tournament champion. We will be adhering to the official Spikeball rules which can be found at http://usaspikeball.com/official-rules . Tournament updates will be sent to your school email; or you can follow Project ASSIST’s Instagram page or, check out the LT Website as well. Project ASSIST will be holding an informational meeting to discuss fundraising ideas and practices and Spikeball practices at the south campus. Should you have any questions please contact Mr. Wolf at email@example.com .
