BENEFITING: Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Oct 15, 2016
The changing leaves and cooler weather can only mean one thing: it’s apple picking season! What better way is there to celebrate Fall in New England than by taking BCNC families apple picking?
BCNC serves many families with children with special needs and brain injuries. It is common for these families to avoid participating in activities outside of the home because of stigma, lack of transportation, and the challenge of managing behavior. BCNC would like to encourage more outdoor family-building activities, so we are organizing an apple picking trip! Will you help us?
BCNC is seeking to raise $1,500 to send 50 children and parents apple picking on October 15th at Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stowe, MA. Would you consider making a donation of $18, $28, $40 or $100 to bring a fun outdoor activity to families?
- A $18 donation will cover the cost of a medium-size bag of apples
- A $28 donation will cover the cost of a large-size bag of apples
- A $40 donation will support the cost of transportation AND apple picking for one person
- Five $100 donations will cover the cost of the bus rental. Please keep in mind that most BCNC families do not have access to transportation, so without a bus to shuttle everyone to the orchard, our families would have no way of participating in this activity.
Thank you for supporting activities that strengthen families!
