SAVE THE WORLD, ONE GIRL AT A TIME.
“What we are learning around the world is that if women are healthy and educated, their families will flourish. If women are free from violence, their families will flourish. If women have a chance to work and earn as full and equal partners in society, their families will flourish. And when families flourish, communities and nations do as well.”
--Secretary of State and former First Lady Hillary Clinton
Remarks for the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women - Beijing, China, Sept. 1995
Girls in Nepal are often deprived of a full education, due to gender discrimination.
Join us to give the gift of education to deserving girls and you can win a free week’s stay in Maui. See contest details below. We’ve identified 26 deserving girls from the village of Jitpur, Nepal. We want to help as many of them as possible – One Girl at a time. Would you consider helping us?
How can I help?

These girls are identified as critically in need of financial help if they are going to continue their studies.
For only $230 (equivalent to just one Starbuck’s Latte a week for a year!) a girl will receive a year’s schooling, covering the cost of:
- admission fees
- examination fees
- monthly tuition fees
- two sets of uniforms (shirt, pant, sweater, tie, belt, shoes, bag, etc.)
- stationery and books
- child club support
- support for community development activities
- administrative charge (including correspondence, follow up and monitoring of the sponsored child)
Without help, these girls could become part of the 57% of illiterate women in the country of Nepal. They might have to drop out of school or miss classes. They will likely remain stuck in the cycle of poverty, with little or no opportunity for holding any job.
Funding opportunities for girls and women in the country can be one of the most powerful ways to address the drastic social and economic inequalities facing Nepal, one of the poorest nations in the world.
Any funds raised above and beyond the sponsorship amount or donated to the General Donation Fund will be distributed to the other girls on our list, one girl at a time. Will you help?
