Guf is a Yellow Labrador puppy that has been sponsored by the cast and crew of NBC’s new comedy series “Growing Up Fisher.” Their $6,000 donation towards the sponsorship of Guf, along with an additional $10,000 has been raised through various cast members and creative team. Our goal is to raise the remaining $39,000 to fully fund Guf’s training.
It costs approximately $55,000 to fully fund the training of one guide dog. This includes all expenses from breeding to raising the dog to training it and matching it with a blind person.
“Growing Up Fisher,” is the brainchild of executive producer DJ Nash, as the story is inspired by his family. Nash’s father is visually impaired and received his first guide dog from the Guide Dog Foundation. LEarn more about the show here: www.nbc.com/growing-up-fisher
