For my 32nd Birthday, I have rented out the sanctuary hall of a local (extremely open-minded) church sanctuary and hope for nothing more or less than co-creational expressive ecstasy in the name of raising funds for those protecting Mother Earth. Right now, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe have lead an encampment of thousands of people gathered to block the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. They have been using prayer, ceremony, and nonviolent direct action to prevent yet another corporation-funded affront on nature from threatening the safety of their water and native lands. This is a statement from Native Tribes and from the One Earth Family members seeking reconciliation that the rape and pillage of the Mother cannot continue. On November 6, we will gather with spontaneous movement and music as prayer and send every cent of the money raised to support the people of Standing Rock. If you would like to give me anything for this birthday, I ask that you contribute to supporting the earth defenders. They have no corporate sponsorship. They have no millionaire backers. They are elders and activists, parents and the prayerful who are saying, "No More!" to the degradation of Mother Earth and her closest allies - the indigenous peoples of this planet. North Dakota winters are harsh and they will need all the aid they can get to continue this fight. Let's not let them down!
