I was diagnosed with ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenia) already over a decade ago. In the last 10 years of living with this autoimmune disease that attacks platelets, I have experienced a rollercoaster ride of emotions and obstacles but also many triumphs. I decided 5 years ago to join the Platelet Disorder Support Association (PDSA) in their efforts to raise awareness of ITP, create fundraising initiatives and support patients and their families to make the world of ITP an easier one to live in.

In the last 4 years, my fundraising events and initiatives have brought in over $25,000 for PDSA and ITP research. This September will be no different. Last year I switched things up by training for my first half-marathon and getting people to sponsor me for ITP. THIS YEAR, I am increasing the stakes by participating in the 100 MILE CHALLENGE. Yes you heard right. I will be running 100 miles (160 km) during the month of September for ITP. This will also include my second Montreal Half-Marathon on September 28, 2014.
For my 10 year anniversary, MY GOAL is to raise at least $10 for every mile I run, so my fundraising total is set at $1,000 but it would be awesome to surpass this! I hope you will help me accomplish this goal by supporting me through this personal donation page. You can keep track of my progress (both fundraising and running miles) through visiting this page or through the Facebook event page.
