THE STORY:

First and foremost I want to thank you for taking the time to visit this page. I could not have imagined that I would have this opportunity and I am honored to be able to put my mind, body and spirit on the line to help SASF(their info is below). My original affilation with this wonderful organization was because out of the 130 schools across the country that I spoke to in 2015, about 30 were SASF affilated in the New York area. The feedback from the principals and parents helped lead me to want to be more involved with the educational system, so late in 2015, I joined the Champion Council, which is a group of business minded individuals who volunteer to help SASF'S key initiatives. April 5th 2016 in the quarterly meeting , we were going over this year's events and the president mentioned that the New York City Marothon gave them 5 slots for the November 6th run, they already had 4 runners and needed one more.....My spirit spoke to me and history was made. I will run and COMPLETE the race, continue to help make this world a better place and anything that you could donate to help this program continue would be appreciated at the highest level... Much love to you and thank you again for taking the time to be a part of these children's futures.

Best Regards

Kinja Dixon

SPORTS AND ARTS IN SCHOOLS FOUNDATION INC wrote -

Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) believes that talent is equally distributed across New York City, but by the lottery of birth, opportunity to discover and develop that talent is not.  In the critical after school hours of 3-6pm, SASF provides underserved inner-city youth with a wide variety of programming that aims to support their academic, artistic, physical and personal development.

SASF is building bridges to a brighter future for over 25,000 New York City public school students. On November 6, 2016 TEAM SASF will be running the blocks and boroughs of New York City to raise funds and visibilty for these critical programs.

TEAM SASF runners are taking on the physical challenge of training for a marathon, and in doing so, setting a positive example to SASF students who face many obstacles in their daily lives. Our runners will embody the organization's core values of determination and resilience, thus inspiring our young students to work hard towards their goals.

Support TEAM SASF and make a donation today.
