"SQUATFest is all things marginalized in birth.” - SQUATfest 2013 attendee
You'll find our workshops at SQUAtfest cover a range of issues, including practical midwifery skills, natural health and parenting, how to provide culturally competent care to families of all varieties, and other conversations essential to the growth of a just birth movement. It’s a place to find workshops you will not see elsewhere, such as The Midwife as Abortion Provider, Addressing White Privilege Among Birth Workers, and many others. Throughout the weekend, we will shine a special spotlight on work happening in New Orleans and throughout the South, bringing focus and attention to people working on the ground to improve health outcomes and ensure reproductive justice for all families and children.
SQUATFest aims to be accessible and relevant to those seeking safe space, information, and solidarity in the complex fields of reproductive health, and to create space for networks of radical folks to work on collective issues both locally, nationally, and globally.
"More liberating than other conferences I've attended." -SQUATfest 2013 attendee
