Barely four years ago, a civil war that had lasted 25 years and claimed nearly 100,000 victims came to an end in Sri Lanka, an island of 20 million people off the southeast coast of India. Once known as Ceylon, Sri Lanka today has a renewed sense of hope for its young people. All across the island, children as young as five are learning to play golf on courses constructed when the island was a British colony. But in a country where the average annual income is about $6,200, Sri Lanka needs your help. Funds donated help to collect used golf clubs, bags, balls and accessories, and to pay shipping costs.
