BENEFITING: SOUTH SUBURBAN HUMANE SOCIETY
ORGANIZER: SOUTH SUBURBAN HUMANE SOCIETY
EVENT: Saving Pets Challenge 2015
Hello Everyone! I typically hit you up for $$$ donated to South Suburban Humane Society when we do the Bark Walk in the Fall, but this year I am asking for your support earlier... and this will be the only online fundraiser I ask you to open your hearts (and wallets to ;) this year. We are participating in a contest that is really something special: Saving Pets Challenge. This is a fundraising campaign launched by Michelson Found Animals.
The contest started on May 4th and ends on June 5th. To give back, they'll be donating over $115,000 to organizations benefiting animal welfare organizations dedicated to decreasing shelter pet euthanasia.
The organization that raises the most during the Challenge will get a $50,000 donation to their cause. Second place gets $20,000, third gets $10,000, fourth gets $7500 and fifth place gets a $5000 donation. We're ready to raise as much money as we can for our cause so we can win the $50,000 grand prize donation. And, we really need your help to make it happen.
I have to admit, this amazing place called SSHS has become a huge part of our lives over the years... and with your support, can for many more! This year really has been filled with great milestones for the shelter, and one very personal one for Dustin and I was the adoption of our little miss Phaedra on August 16. She is the tiny dog that won our heart, and we can't imagine a day without her. She started as a foster and never ended up leaving.
There are a million and one reasons why I love this place and am asking for your support with this contest and my fundraising efforts.... but the most straight forward explanation is because it is an amazing place that is dedicated to saving as many lives as possible. I am proud to serve as the President of the Board of Directors with some fantastic people, and honored to know and be friends with the amazing people that work their butts off at SSHS every day!
My personal goal is to raise $1,500 so please help me achieve that goal, and in turn, help SSHS get that grand prize of $50,000!
Our efforts in saving as many lives as possible requires your support, we can't do all this amazing work without your help. Any donation helps, nothing is too small. Thank you for your support, your time, and hopefully after reading this... your money!
Feel free to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
The South Suburban Humane Society is Committed to One Result: Saving More Lives.
#OneResult combines the mission, programs, and services of the South Suburban Humane Society. With your help, we can ensure the best possible outcome for every pet that enters our shelter.
You are the most important member of the South Suburban Humane Society.
You truly make a difference in the lives of thousands of shelter pets. From all of us at your local animal shelter, thank you for saving more lives!
Starting at intake, our pilot program will deliberately affect change. Instead of reacting and responding to incoming animals, we can proactively address the root cause of each individual surrender - the shift towards interview-heavy and scheduled admissions has already saved hundreds of lives. Each month our save percentage, or live-release, has increased to a record high of 80%!
- Your donations let us waive medical fees to low-income owners.
- Your gifts make sure adoption fees stay low.
- Your donation food and treats feed pets, while they wait for a new home.
#OneResult starts with you.
