BENEFITING: H2O FOR LIFE
Each year, we encourage our students to become involved in a charitable service project to foster activism within the global community. This year, we decided to direct our efforts towards a charity that will directly benefit children. Our hope is to foster a sense of responsibility and fellowship with other in their age group who do not have access to the same basic necessities of daily life. After discovering H₂0 For Life, we believed it was a perfect fit! In addition, we discovered a project in Haiti, which has added influence due to the significant Haitian American population within our school community. Our 6th, 7th and 8th graders will participate in a walk in May to “put themselves in the shoes” of those for whom water is not easily accessible. This activity aims to promote a spirit of solidarity and compassion for their fellow humans.
