It's a harsh reality of the World We live in. Domestic Violence. Sadly, that reality showed it's ugly face. But this time, shockingly in form a once trusted loved one. In this case, a Husband. On August 16th, 2015, around 8AM, Doris Marshall was shot and killed in an by Her husband Mimmy Joe Marshall after He showed up to the home they once shared demanding to gain entry. After doing such, He fired a single shot at Doris' upper body. While She lay bleeding to death, Mr. Marshall stole some of Her belongings as well as Her assistance check. Mimmy Joe & Doris Marshall had recently been separated due to Mimmy Joe's ongoing & seemingly worsening verbal and physical abuse. She’s survived by 3 children and a host of grandchildren. Doris, who turned 58 this year, was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother as well as a staple in the Lower Richland Community. She is a graduate of Benedict College circa Class of '76. Funds are being raised to directly assist Doris Taylor's homegoing services as well as helping Her family in moving forward.
