BENEFITING: THE BOSTON EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Apr 21, 2014
I am running the Boston Marathon 2014 in support of the Joseph Lee K8 School in Dorchester, a Boston Public School. The 650 student population is comprised of approximately 90% free/reduced lunch and also consists of 150 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. They are the largest public school for students with autism that isn't a specialized special needs school.
The donations come 100% to the school and they have used the funds in ways such as - providing tutoring to students who need it out of school time hours, materials for their special needs population such as sensory materials, velcro, gross motor equipment and student books they can use in their classroom libraries -reading for pleasure type books.
I hope you will help me to support this wonderful cause of contributing to youth in our own community!! Any donation will help, Thank you!
