BENEFITING: Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, Inc.
HSP (Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia) is a genetic nueromuscular disease that causes spasticity, tremors, and muscle weakness in the legs. Approximately 20,000 Americans have one of the 30 different types of HSP. HSP is caused by genetic mutation, and only 11 mutations are currently identified. All money raised will go to the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, the only non-profit organization dedicated to HSP, and a similar disorder Primary Lateral Scleriosis(PLS), in the United States.
