BENEFITING: Lupus Foundation of America, Inc.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to pay tribute to our dear sister and friend Chaska Amos-White while raising public awareness to Lupus. The month of May serves as Lupus Awareness Month and Chaska's sorors are asking for your support in donating to Lupus Research. We are asking everyone to donate $10 towards this worthy cause. All funds are directly donated to The Lupus Foundation of America.
Beautiful, vivacious, enthusiastic, bubbly, giving, loving, and loyal are but a few words that begin to describe our dear Chaska. Chaska graduated in 2006 from Tougaloo College, where she held many titles such as Miss Black and Gold and dance team captain. She was initiated into the Gamma Omicron chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in the fall of 2003. As step master, Chaska choreographed numerous step routines that won the chapter local and regional awards. She chaired and co-chaired countless chapter activities and choreographed most of the campus pagents. At the time of her departure, Chaska was studying for the LSAT, organizing her dance studios, "Up on Your Toes" for general dance and "Up on Your Toes: Phase 2" for amputees. Her passion and drive never wavered and she always found ways to encourage others. She leaves behind a loving family and countless friends. She will be sorely missed.
