BENEFITING: Planting Peace
Arnold Abbot, a 90 year old man residing in Fort Lauderdale who has dedicated his life to feeding the homeless was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 2 for violating a city ordinance that prohibits people from feeding the homeless in public. In response, Planting Peace will be setting up feeding centers to show solidarity and support for Arnold and to fight for the right for all individuals to be able to help those in need. Planting Peace invites you to join us in our stand by making a contribution. For every $10 donated we will be able to provide 20 meals to the homeless of Fort Lauderdale. We will also be making a contribution to help Mr. Abbot with his legal fees. As Arthur eloquently quoted in a recent press interview, "These are the poorest of the poor, they have nothing, they don't have a roof over their heads. How do you turn them away? Any human has the right to help his fellow man." We agree, Arthur. Please help us by donating today!
