Stand with Jada
Organized by: Stephanie Domurat
Nearly 1 of every 5 American women report being raped in their lifetime. Of those, nearly half are under the age of 18. While reporting a rape can feel nearly impossible for many victims, 16-year old Jada is instead taking the courageous public stand against it.
The teenager who is going publicly by her first name, Jada, lives in Houston, Texas. She reported the incident to police after finding her pictures circulating on social media. Since, she has been mocked further, now through a meme with a hashtag “#jadapose”.
While law enforcement is investigating further, those in support of this brave young woman want to stand by her. Let’s stand with Jada, as she bravely speaks out against sexual violence and stands up for herself. "There's no point in hiding,” she said. “Everybody has already seen my face and my body, but that’s not what I am and who I am.”
If you would like to support Jada, please help by donating to Stand With Jada. All funds go directly to Jada and her family for any legal fees, health care or homeschooling costs or any other expenses they may have because of this incident.
