BENEFITING: ANIMAL PROTECTORATES
Vet technicians in Riverside and North Hollywood committed to make this guys life better. Barely able to walk on his own…a vet tech at the Coachella Valley Shelter was determined that this boy would be given a chance, we stepped in to help with that. As soon as he arrived in Burbank, he was taken to the vet. A "big surgery" in the words of the vet happened on Tuesday. TAPS Vet bills are currently at $852. Drains have been installed where the mass was removed from his anal region. We are waiting on results. Because he is still unable to poop on his own, TAPS has made a decision to keep him at the vet while he heals rather than foster/boarding, so that he can be monitored - more bills. We are not sure of his personality yet because he is obviously in so much pain and is pretty shut down. Lovely Sousanna at the vet's office, determined get his coat white again and get rid of horrible matts that were adding to his pain, was able to groom him and a TAPS volunteer was able to gently pet him...even though he is still in pain, he has to feel better than the matted, dirty mess he was when he first went in. Please donate to our medical fund as this has been an extremely expensive few weeks...we have saved those others would have left and need your support to continue to do this work.
