Stanly's hip surgery
Organized by: Alex Kaplan
6 years ago we rescued Stanly from a life of pitbull fights. When we got him he had scars on his head and face from being put up against other dogs. His face and nose where bright red from being left out in the sun. The bottoms of his paws where bright pink being left outside on concrete. We had to take Stanly home and for 8 years he has been our little puppy. He thinks he's a lapdog and sits with us when we eat dinner and watch t.v. it's almost like he is a human when I put my arm on the arm rest he sits up and puts his front leg up to. Unfortunately as the years have gone by his back legs have started giving up on him. We have tile in the kitchen and carpet in some other rooms. He can manage well enough on the carpet to get up on the couch and walk around. But in the kitchen his back legs fail him and he slips and falls down. He is afraid to walk on tile or go for walks that aren't on grass. We have called many of our local vetenary clinics for an estimate on hip surgery and they where all upwards of $4,000. We can't afford to pay a bill that high. For now we have some long throw rugs around the house do he can manage to walk outside and go to the bathroom without hurting himself in the proccess. Please help us raise money so Stanly can walk comfortably again.
